Simon Kouk is a creative entrepreneur, community-focused operator, and technology systems thinker with a passion for helping people and businesses grow. With over 25 years of experience in design and more than 12 years in web development, Simon brings a blend of creative, technical, and strategic thinking to the projects and businesses he works with.
Holding a Bachelor of Design and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science, Simon’s background began in backend development before expanding into frontend and later full stack development. This experience allows him to bridge the gap between business strategy, user experience, and technical execution, helping turn complex ideas into practical and human-centred solutions.
As the founder of Kouk Creatives, Simon has worked alongside businesses and start-ups across a wide range of industries, helping transform early-stage ideas into sustainable businesses that continue to support families and communities today. He has a particular passion for simplifying digital experiences and making websites and systems feel intuitive, engaging, and easy for customers to use.
Alongside business, Simon is deeply involved in community leadership and service. He currently serves as President of the Rotary Club of Mount Eden and continues his longstanding role as ICT Chair for Rotary International District 9920. He previously served as Vice President of the Eastern Students Association and President of the Rotary Club of Auckland East, receiving the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow recognition for his contribution to leadership and community service.
At the heart of Simon’s work is a genuine interest in people and understanding what truly works. He enjoys learning emerging technologies and exploring how they can create meaningful value for others. Some of the most rewarding parts of his work come from seeing clients grow in confidence and success as projects evolve from an idea into something impactful.
Outside of work, Simon enjoys community service through Rotary, spending time with family, caring for dogs, and taking on projects that can contribute positively to the future of New Zealand.

Aslan is the top dog when it comes to keeping the office safe and sound. With years of experience sniffing out trouble (and treats), he’s always on high alert for any suspicious activity. Aslan takes his role seriously, ensuring that every visitor is properly vetted with a thorough sniff test and a wag of approval.
